The Buell Early Childhood Leadership Program (BECLP) is an 18-credit, graduate certificate offered in partnership with the University of Colorado Denver’s School of Education & Human Development and Clayton Early Learning with generous support from the Buell Foundation. |
This unique partnership combines faculty with an academic background in the discipline with the on-the-ground knowledge of professionals who work in the field. The program offers six courses, delivered through a combination of monthly face-to-face classes and online learning, to enable emerging and experienced leaders from across Colorado to participate in the program. The BECLP curriculum demonstrates a belief that leadership is developmental beginning by looking inward as a leader (Leading Within), then toward understanding leading in relationship within organizations and communities influencing and being influenced by children and families (Leading with Others), and ultimately come into leadership action through transforming and igniting relationships in new ways (Leading Across). |
We are so grateful to alumni, community partners, guest speakers, writers, and informers across the leadership and early childhood fields for contributing to our work and growth. And importantly, the transformational learning experiences that have occurred for Buell Fellows, Faculty, and Staff over the last year would not be possible without the ongoing commitment and generosity of the Buell Foundation.
